Reviews of CD Untrapped
In all honesty and not trying to sound all kiss assey... the music was inspiring, enjoyable and well just amazing! J.O. Lawrence, the sound is great on the CD! Now with this improved sound it's unbelievable. I earlier felt that you were as good as it gets, and this just throws more fuel on that theory. Time to fill the gap left by Cat Stevens. I think your arrangement of songs is great, too, the flow is really nice.

The music is AWESOME!!!! I am thrilled that "The Dream Survives" is on there! VVVWD to you! WOWOW!!!!I’m listening to "Fly Away" and it sounds so good! It's just AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Enjoyment and inspiration! I love the CD! I'm so glad you have it done. I've loved "Walking on the Moon" since I first heard it. It's just fabulous! The message is powerful and so needed and what an aesthetic way to deliver it! S.N. |
Coming Up Sunrise – still my favorite. Just an awesome song I can identify with
Picking Daisies is beautiful, absolutely beautiful – very, very nice. I love it. I like this one second best Love Is Still the Key….GREAT, GREAT SONG – I believe it’s my 3rd favorite. Don’t You Point Your Finger…I LOVE THAT MUSIC it’s so melodious. The music is definitely the most amazing part of that song…it’s captivating…I don’t know what it is but it just DRAWS you in. I LOVE that "good old Country Song." ha ha ha I played it over and over and over until I almost have it memorized. The guitar is fabulous in that song. It's the one I like singing to the most. ha ha ha. I do not know why...just very contagious. ha ha ha. It’s just such an awesome CD – it really is. I listened to your CD in my car all weekend...whenever I went anywhere, it was on. C.G. |
The first song Coming Up Sunrise instantly made me think of James Taylor for a sec, first impression, (who I like)... but then it mostly reminded me of Croce's Photographs & Memories, his best work! I like this song of yours a lot, and just played it a few times through before even going on. So it was a good first track indeed. Can't find anything I don't like about it. It is very good.
F.G. I've listened to your CD start to finish, each song, in my car. I like it! I like your guitar playing and your subject material the best. The recording quality is excellent and your guitar comes through very well. I can hear influences such as the Waylon sound on track 2 "Ain't No Hero Blues". Also sounds like there's some John Lennon after Beatles coming through on "Love is Still the Key". ("Imagine") D.N. I love COUNTRY SONG, but I especially loved LOVE IS STILL THE KEY & AIN'T NO HERO BLUES. I played your entire CD for my husband and we really enjoyed all the songs, but those three are our favorites. Love it. It is melodious. It is live. It has soul (a word I don't usually use). I find it tone raising. It is invigorating. I like Love Is Still the Key the best so far.
C.N. Both of the songs I listened to are very strong in melody and in lyrics. You do have a wide range of voice inflections as well. You are hitting a unique sound. B.W. |

A.F. " there's a raw, honest quality to this that I find appealing " B.R. |
