He has performed in the Los Angeles area in such venues as The Talking Stick Coffee Lounge, Arnie's Cafe and Coffee House and Borders Books. He also has performed in Pensacola, Florida in such places as Peg Leg Pete's Oyster House, The Drowsy Poet Coffee House, Goatlips Deli & Dinner House and the Pensacola Bay Brewery.

His song with lyrics by Bara Byrnes, "The Wisdom Is Shown (Memoryman)" will be featured in the future upcoming film Memoryman II.

Lawrence received an Honorable Mention Award in the 2015 SONG OF THE YEAR CONTEST for the song "Dynamite Mama" from his 4th CD SONGWRITER. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top songwriters receive a Honorable Mention placement in the songwriting competition.

His first CD UNTRAPPED was released in early 2010 which featured the songs "Fly Away" and "Ain't No Hero Blues (very popular songs on Internet Radio)."

SERIOUSLY UNSERIOUS, his second CD featuring the songs "Beautiful Day" and "The Ice Cream Man," was released in later 2010.

His third CD UNLEASHED was released in May 2012. The 3rd album UNLEASHED is well titled, as the songs speak for themselves like a big dog let joyfully loose from his leash.

Lawrence's 4th CD SONGWRITER was released at the end of May 2013, and for his fans, it was a greatly anticipated event. With the theme song of the upcoming movie Memoryman as the first song on the CD, it sets the pace for the rest. The songs range from love songs to an anti-nuclear war protest song to even one about the homeless.

His 5th CD FROM DOWN HOME was completed in 2015 with unique songs, some fan favorites of which are "London Bridge Again," "Day at the Beach" and "The Child in Me."  There are 11 songs on the album and one which is a tribute to all the musicians who frequent the streets of cities all over the planet called "Street Singer."

Lawrence received a Runner-Up Award for his song "Rolling On" in the 2016 Song of the Year Contest. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only the top songwriters receive a Runner Up placement in the songwriting competition.
